In beautiful Monmouthshire in south-east Wales, we have five pitches available for camping in our 9 acre field for weekends between May and August 2018. Perfect for a group of friends and/or family to get together so you can have the field to yourselves and enjoy the fantastic views and sunsets towards the Brecon Beacons around a campfire.
We charge £20.00 a night for a pitch with nothing extra for children. To book all five pitches for two nights we would charge £200.00 and for three nights over Bank Holiday weekends we would charge £300.00.
For anyone who is not too keen on sleeping under 'canvas', we have renovated an old site office and turned it into a rather nice bedroom with lovely views. We supply the bedding so you don't need to worry about sleeping bags etc. We charge £80.00 for two nights (minimum stay).
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but if you don't have one, our dog Harry (on the left, with the tail) does like to hang out with campers particularly if there are children staying!
Facilities are basic and definitely not 'glamping'. There's a 'Portaloo', a tap, hose and sink for washing-up, and an outdoor shower with hot water! There's a cabin that's perfect to hide out in if the weather takes a turn for the worse and it has a fridge, Baby Belling gas cooker and a table and chairs.
We can supply you with eggs from our chickens (when they choose to lay!) - £1.50 for half a dozen.
We can supply firewood but would prefer you bring your own. If you do need ours it's £7.00 a tub as this year we're having to buy it in. However, you're welcome to collect your own kindling/wood from our small, somewhat overgrown woodland.
There's lots to do locally and further afield - we can lend you guidebooks and maps.
Our local pub, The Star Inn, is a few minutes walk over the stile and across the road from our field and it has a beer garden and a play area for children.
We can also point you in the direction of some lovely wild swimming spots around the area.
